Feet today after soak. ADVICE PLEASE??
This? This is bubbles feet we are gonna start her treatment today
So looking at this pic I have to remove everything? That nasty green funky infectious part and all of that white bubble blister stuff? How far do I go with that? And so that's also after soak? And then after removing all that do I apply iodine, and do I bandage him or no? Please let me know about the shot.White parts are infection and/or dead tissue... those plugs need to be removed... infection in poultry is NOT like in people/mammals, it is hard, cheesy chunks that need to be removed before healing can start... their body does NOT absorb or drain infection, it has to be removed... after soaking, start working those scabs off while they are soft... anything whitish/yellowish needs to be removed, only leave healthy, pink tissue... it may bleed, some do, some don't... if it does, gauze and wrap it...
@casportpony knows about penicillin dosages and injections, think it needs some antibiotic support?
Soak in warm epsom salt water and apply iodine... treat for a couple days and get pics, see how hers looks then...

And for bubbles do epsom salt soak, and apply iodine and that's it? Don't remove anything or bandage or what?
Sorry I'm trying to get a straight up plan for today so my boyfriend and I can do this right and help them, especially my poor Aflac![]()
It's dirt and little bit of gravel. I mean like as in touching Aflac I don't wanna contract it to myself or my birds at home etc
I think one does need to be careful though, because bumblefoot is often a staph infection. You or no other being will get bumble foot....lol...![]()
Wear gloves.So I shouldn't worry that I'll get staph?
