Here he is being a good boy and soaking his feet![]()

Thanks! He's quite the ladies manWhat a beautiful boy![]()
he's handsome. His three females adore him. He's isolated with one, but the other two miss him so bad. The other nights after we treated him we brought him over to say hi to them and they were SO excited! Quacking their heads off. I'm sure they can't wait to be with him again. There's nothing you can really do for fowlpox since it's viral it just runs its course and then luckily they won't get it againAww bless what treatment did you use for the fowl pox? Thankfully haven't ever had to treat for it.
this is their third week, my tom shadows sores are pretty much gone maybe a couple left that are fading and then my Peep my hen hers look nasty she has quite a few still but they are drying up and going away too. Can't wait that to be over with too!
they live at my house though so they aren't around the Ag farm birds so I've contained the pox to only them. I have a bantam chicken at home named Pip Squeak too and I kept her from getting it
so at the Ag farm I just have this bumble foot to deal with but it's the worst thing I think I've ever had to deal withHe has one of his three ladies <3 aww I love that turkey pic. Turkeys are so amazing. By the way this is what I look like guys haha. You've seen my boyfriend in pics with Aflac but this is me today lol.I always let mates stay or make a quick hospital visit.View attachment 1151269 View attachment 1151271
bumble foot is a staph infection and highly contagiousYou or no other being will get bumble foot....lol...![]()
you got good advice in thisIn taking the scab off what crud comes off? And bumble foot is staphylococcus and people can easily get staff as well so I'm anxious about me or my turkeys getting it
Lots of people touch bumble and don't get it. Wash your hands well or wear rubber gloves if you are really worried.
The scab should have a lot of white cheesy stuff stuck to it when it is removed.
remove and sharp rock, maybe get some sand, put down a rubber mat or an old rug, give them different types of flooring to walk on and rest onOkay I will let you know if and how many other have it tomorrow. And will treat her along with Aflac tomorrow. I don't have anywhere to move my big waterfowl flock so what am I supposed to do about the pen?
she probably already had it when you brought her inand then don't bandage? And what about bubbles we are treating her for first time she has very mild case what do we do for her, and of he's not wrapped will she get an infection from his nasty infected feet? How long till the infection goes away..
you are doing great and getting some really good advice from some very experienced members @casportpony @Ravynscroft @WVduckchickWe did the epsom salt soak first. And then started. He bled pretty bad we only did some of one foot today. Will pick up again tomorrow. It was awful.
