My DUCK GOT ATTACKED BY MY DOG!! HELP PLEASE!!!*PICS INCLUDE

Do not use Salt water or peroxide on the wound. Overo Mare gave you good treatment advice. Trim/ cut the feathers off the wound and send us those pictures.
Yes, Ducks are very resilient but, this attack is bad. Sorry. Poor duck.
I have experience with a near fatal chicken attack. I'm up and can help if needed.
I can’t post on YouTube I don’t know why do you have an email or something I can send you a better video on?

I'm so sorry about your duckling. Overo Mare and Wyorp Rock will know better than I will on what to do. I haven't dealt with very many bad attacks. I sure hope he pulls through, but you may have to cull if he's in severe pain unfortunately. I wish you the absolute best of luck. :hugs
Let us know what happens.

I have nothing😭
:hugs O.k. honey, it's o.k!

You have Peroxide right? You can use that for the initial cleaning, then flush the wound with lukewarm plain water.
Trim the feathers away from the edges of the wound. Just go slow and have someone help you if possible.

When you have the feathers trimmed, an flush the wound, take some photos.

It's so hard to tell what's going on and how deep that it. I understand it's upsetting, but you can do this.

Veteran wound treater here, my chickens and my own, oh, and when I was fifteen and nearly killed my sister. It's not rocket science.

1. Stop the bleeding.
2. clean the wound.
3. Antibiotic ointment
4. Keep it moist.
5.Oral antibiotic for all puncture wounds.

I like @AngelaY 's suggestion of the tub of warm soapy water. What better way to cleanse a duck's wounds? Good fit.

The wounds need to be assessed as to type. Lacerations may need stitches. Tissues torn or lost will need daily cleaning and kept moist with ointment to encourage tissue growth and discourage bacteria.

If the wounds expose internal organs, that necessitates a decision to end the duck's suffering in view of likely fatal wounds.
