My duck is missing, help!

About keeping the other duck company. I'm getting 5 new hatchlings in the middle of april do you think I should wait for them to grow or should I get a full grown duck from a farm?

Sounds like coyote. They are always moving and will grab a duck and take off with it. Nothing is left behind, other than footprints.

True story,
One of my neighbors actually saw a coyote enter his chicken pen and grab a bird on the move in the middle of the day. He happened to have a rifle nearby and more out of luck was able to take a moving long shot that dropped the coyote and saved the bird.

He patched up his chicken and named it "Lucky"

That's an amazing story. I don't think it could be a coyote thought the fencing walls are literally about 8 feet high I don't think a coyote could jump that. I didn't see any holes at all where something could dig under the fencing. Do you think a hawk swooped up my duck I don't know if you saw the picture but shes pretty fat or do you think she flew away?

I will be getting another duck to keep the other one company and the new ducklings will be ready to be picked up at the end of this week I'm so excited.

Be sure to post pics when you get them.

its upsetting that happened, unfortunately the same thing happened to me. my duck disappeared in the night without trace. However, something had attacked them as one of my ducks are badly injured, limping and droopy wing. we've searched around our neighbour and still no sign.
