My duck isn’t eating and poops bright green

It’s a little hard to read because it’s so small, but here are the ingredients. It’s nice to have this on hand for bird emergencies.

Update: Maybelle is still unable to stand/walk, but she ate her favorite snack, green peas, during her morning bath. This is the most she’s eaten all week. She gobbled down a couple handfuls. I went to pet store and got her some crickets (that’s her other favorite snack). She’s been eating the crickets and appears to have an appetite. I also fed her some night crawlers I dug up in the yard. I tube fed her the special vitamin mix from the vet this morning. I’m praying that she will get the strength to stand. I hope her body digests the food properly. The neon green poop is not a good sign, but part of me thinks that’s because she hasn’t been eating all week. She’s enjoying some time outdoors today under her favorite tree.

I'd also add some liquid B complex to her tube feeding just because it can help with leg strength. You can get human at Walmart 3ml daily or TSC in cattle dept 1 ml daily the one at TSC is in the cattle dept and will say injectable but is given orally to our birds. Maybelle is precious and having an appetite is a good thing. Encouraging!!

In addition to the stuff you are tube feeding now do you think you should blend up some of her regular feed to feed also?

I wish there was a way to blend down her regular feed. She normally eats a course organic layer blend. The feeding tube is incredibly soft and narrow and designed only for liquids. It’s even difficult getting the thick liquid vitamin formula down the tube. I did juice some veggies last night in my juicer and fed them to her in the tube. I got some layer mash also but she only seems interested in the bugs and peas for now.

Good to know! I have a TSC in town, I’ll have to check that out. Thanks :)

I was thinking a blender and some water.
