My duck wants to sit down all the time -- is he ill?

My male mallard is one of five in my flock. He can walk and keeps up with the rest of the ducks but then sits down immediately while the others continue to waddle about. He looks healthy and doesn't seem to be in pain but it doesn't seem quite right. Any thoughts?

first of all you need to check him over real good look at his feet looking for bumble foot[ an infection from a cut or wound] then his legs then the rest of his body check for lice or mites and for his own good and the safety of the flock seperate him till you know for sure it's not something contagious. How old and pictures would help, and welcome to byc!!
