My Ducklings

maybe it should be water fowlers.
^ This. 100% agree, Miss Lydia! I'm still waiting on my family to finish the milk so I can take it and use it as a waterer. They have a bowl right now, but they jump in it and splash around and then I have to dry them. Trying to dry one ducklings was difficult enough - now I have five! Lol. So I'm going to use a milk carton. The last I used, I cut the hole too big and one jumped in and almost got stuck. He was not pleased with my help, though. XD

TherryChicken, your ducks are GORGEOUS! What are they?

Awww, the Blue Swedish was one of the breeds I was looking at when I was deciding which breed should be Pyrrhos's companion. I admit, though, I didn't look as much into them as I did Welsh Harlequins. XD

What are your favorite things about them? What are your least favorite things about them? I'd like to get two or three more ducklings in July(since I have two almost definite males out of five ducks, and one of the females might be a male). More than likely, I'm going to get Welsh Harlequins, but I'd like to know more about the Swedes too. :)

They are a docile breed. Things I like, they are gorgeous and humorous, things I don't, they are so smart, they act stupid. LOL... AND like any other duck MESSY MESSY MESSY LOL...

Hahahaha! They sound like quite the characters. :) Whenever I move, I might get me some lol. For now, all my babies are Welsh Harlequins and one Mallard. X3

Well that's good lol. My dad is practical like that. He wanted to make sure our WHs were good meat birds.
Lol well at like 4 weeks you could really see the breast on them birds.. I don't do for meat, I do for eggs, but these are meaty birds too. Did I mention GORGEOUS :p... They have my coop/run all moldy, bad moldy, so we are going to have to flip the soil over or remove it and toss it. I put some grass seeds on top of the soil/mud (sept where the mold is) and watered it down. I have the ducks shut out of it (they can get under the rabbit hutch for shelter) in hopes it'll start to grow nicely.. Then open it up again. Supposed to be fast growing :).. Want to do it with my chickens too :D
