My ducks are breathing heavily sometimes

Are you giving any treats besides their pellets?
My drakes do that breathing thing quiet often. If what you’re Seeing is similar to what I described then yes it’s normal. Your Magpie looks good from here but the best way to tell is hands on can you feel his keel very pointy? Then he maybe under weight. For treats here mine get dried mealworms/ dry dog food the dog food is what I feed my weenie dog Taste of the wild for small breeds my flock loves it.

Tnx for ur comment...yeah I give him treats but it's some veggies mixed with some boiled spaghetti..I will try dog food and see if they like it or not

Just make sure it is small kibble so they can eat it without choking. And it is only a treat, not their feed which has most of the nutrients they need. Treats should only be 10% of what they eat daily.
