Okay why would someone have 1000 ducks if they can't afford to feed them?

i could not agree more with you. how could some one order 1000+ ducklings and not be able to feed them with out support from others,

to me that is just bad animal raising (only keep and raise what you can afford)

Metzer Farms donated all the ducklings. And in 4 months the ducks will be butchered and donated to homeless shelters.

but still even if they go to a good cause, if you need the help form others to feed your live stock, your doing something wrong.
