my ducks has gone missing!!

my duck ru has gone missing he is a rescue and i have raised him since an egg he is fully grown but has a problem he isnt water proof and was still unable to fly last night i left the gate open by accedent and i went out and he was gone my drive ways long and he very shy and dossent like to go out and do new things if he gets out he hides and there are heaps of bushes down my drive but last night it was raining and he was already drenced i leave him to dry himself so he can learn how too it was really cold im sceared he has died of the cold and i stiil cant find him the next day i left the gate open so he can come back is there anything else i can do please help!!! thanks
