My Ducks- Need Some Help w/ Identifying- Rouen

Yes, the pet quality calls are more "regular duck" in shape, but I really think these birds are mostly mallard, My duck, Zinn, is a hatchery quality mallard, she is in the front of the picture, and she looks nearly identical to the darker faced duck in the pictures,

although Mine has quite the dark coloring, possibly the one in the picture at the top of the page is decended from a wild orphaned duckling and that could explain that one's good quality coloration.

Yes very true. I would put a pic of my mallard hens but they are true wild mallards and not banned yet as I am waiting for game commission

I agree Hens, but look a little small to be Rouens, Not?

They're not small Rouens are a small breed

I have 2duck and 2drake Rouens the drakes almost look like mallards and the ducks look like brown and black ducks

How heavy are they? My Rouen hens are about 4 lbs, id call them small... compared to a Pekin.. heavier than my runners

They look like Mallards to me.

Looks like females. Have you tried voice sexing yet? Females will quack early on and males have a raspy frog like sound

They seem to both be loud quackery
