My duck's right wing - is this normal?

Well tried the nylon thing...that didn't work either. I quit. I guess he's gonna have a ****ed up wing forever... :/

well you tried. It isn't a health issue just cosmetic and you can clip the wing after the feathers grow out and are not full of blood so he doesn't catch it on things. It will be okay. Some are just Houdini and can get out of anything.

Well, we did manage to get the nylons back on him and taped it some and he's kep that on all night so far. I read somewhere the angel wing thing can shorten their life span if not fixed? Is that true or just crazy talk?

It has nothing to do with their health unless of course it could hinder flying and getting away from a pred if they fly. or getting it caught on something and causing serious enough injury that they died from that. But just the angel wing has no health issues. it is just a malformation of the wing. Some say too much protein or can be genetic. That's great he kept it own.

All good to know! Well, he ended up getting the tights off after 2 days and his wing didn't even look a little bit better so we are back at square one with nothing working...
