On Easter Sunday I started my adventure into hatching out Black East Indies I ordered from eBay. They sat almost two days not turned in an incubator.

Today I did a candle and I think I have 4 live ones. Mainly because I could see a little heartbeat in 4 of them. I have 3 that are questions.

But here they are at day 4

I concur. #7 is a definite loss, but I would hold on to #5 a couple more days just to be sure. I've had some slow growers recently that I would have thrown out on day 5 had I not been patient. Good luck with the hatch!

The rest look great!

Day 5 of my East Indie Adventure. I have started misting once a day starting last night. Egg 7 Was dead dead today. So I removed it. Here are the others.

Egg 1 IMG_2773.JPG Had a heart beat today.

Egg 2 IMG_2774.JPG Much larger today.

Egg 3 IMG_2775.JPG Good heart beat.

Egg 4 IMG_2776.JPG Larger today but can't see a heart beat.

Egg 5 IMG_2777.JPG All clear still

Egg 6 IMG_2778.JPG Largest little lump so far.

I am currently debating on if I want to get another 6 eggs to incubate of these little ducks. I have read that they can be harder to hatch. Still debating on if I should based on that knowledge.
