Day 13- lots of wiggles and movement today. I set the other set of BEI eggs I got today they will sit them in the incubator for several days so they can finish settling.
So happy to see the wiggling lit squirming babies in their eggs.
Day 15- After 3 hours of no power the 5 little egglets are still kicking. They didn’t seem very happy with the bright light today. Lots of wiggly complaints.
Egg1
Egg2
Egg3
Egg4
Egg6
They are starting to get darker and harder to photograph the bottom is almost black in some.
Day 16- I moved my 5 little egglets to the incubator that they will be hatching in. I will be going to hand turning them on their sides from tonight on. I am slightly worried about the air cells as they are still pretty small I think for 8 days before hatching. If you have some thought on that idea.
Maybe a little small, but not too bad. What’s your humidity running?
If you think they are too small, misting, or removing the bloom with a slightly dampened sponge will usually help draw more moisture out.
I’m actually having the same issue with my black east indie eggs. I moved them downstairs/to the lowest humidity room in the house yesterday because I noticed their air cells have stayed relatively the same since day 9.
I wonder why we’re both having this issue. What has your humidity been up to? I’m trying to keep mine as low as possible at this point (before it was around 25-29%, now I have it around 20-21%, although I’m trying to get it lower).
