My EE has decided that she will lay her eggs in my bathroom sink.

Well, now we know where she lays her eggs, but where does she crap, and how do you deal with that in your house? No offense, but the only way my chickens are coming inside my house is in a stew pot.

Well, she is an EE after all....so she is extremely polite. She comes in very quietly by the bathroom door, hops up and very carefully and quietly, I will repeat quietly, like she knows she is getting away with something the others haven't figured out yet. I have a large property, so the door is right out the garden. She walks really carefully and slides down, tip toes right back out, and never makes a peep. She doesn't poop in there, it is nice and clean just like an EE. They do try to come in the house, but are learning the door will be closed in their face and the mom sternly saying 'No chickens in the house." Now they stand at the doors waiting for their hand outs.
They are allowed in the house, but will jump through open windows to get in....Very persistent.

Sorry, don't know how she realized the sink was there. Chickens are a lot smarter than given credit for when allowed to be free.

I agree with underground chickenman about the crap, since birds DO NOT have the ability to hold it in like dogs or cats, and don't have the reasoning to know that we humans don't want crap on the counters or anywhere else in the house. And they come through the windows? Don't you have screens there?? So now I'm imagining your house with crap AND flies/insects on everything. No offense, but that's a completely unsanitary situation. I absolutely love my chickens, and they love me, but that to me is just disgusting. She sneaks onto the bathroom counter, so what's to stop her from going onto the kitchen counter? Sure hope you sanitize that counter before making someone a sandwich!

I would LOVE it if my EE ends up coming in and laying eggs in the bathroom sink.

I don't know how long it takes them to lay an egg - what - would she be in there 20 minutes or so? Easy to clean up the mess from one chicken!
