My egg sexing results are in :D

Very interesting! I am anxious to see how your results turn out! Good luck on your hatch!

Instead of telling the pendulum which way to go, I ask it which is which ... show me "boy" show me "girl" etc. Mine ended up being back and forth for girl and a circle for boy.

The only way you would know if the pendulum test worked is to resex each chick as it hatches to see if it matches what you thought that egg should be. Having them all hatch in the same incubator is not going to confirm anything imo. Those ratios are a typical hatch ratio, so I don't feel this is a sound test.

I used a rose quartz pendulum. This one...

Well, I will be putting a divider in to seperate my carton of male eggs from my female eggs so that I can mark or tag all of one sex before putting in the brooder.

I used this exact method 1 1/2 years ago with great success. I did it just for fun and before I set my eggs, I used the pendulum. If it showed boy, scrambled eggs, if it showed girl, it went into the bator, if it showed nothing, it wasnt fertile, scrambled eggs again. I ended up setting one egg that would be a boy and one egg that the pendulum could not decide boy or girl. In the end, out of about 12 eggs, I got 2 boys. The one I know I set and the one that was undecided. All the rest were girls. Maybe I got lucky, maybe it worked, who knows.

Oh, that's what it is!! A friend of mine had one at school, I thought it was kina cool! Very accurate!! But my crazy mom that it was some scary devil thing.

OK, next question, what can be used as a pendulum?

Would it work on already hatched chicks?
