my eggs are 25 days old today and started chirping. please help, this is my first time incubating

I am so sorry. I had 2 die yesterday, and I am so sad. One I had fed by syringe for over a week, and my heart is breaking. I will never incubate eggs again. I am just not tough enough.

Please don't give up ms steak you give great advice on here ! And I'm sure your next batch will be successfull !

It is heartbreaking isn't it. I put some more eggs in the incubator on saturday and I wish I never now petal has died as it has put me off, I can't believe how upset I am. Its awful. The advice I received off everyone on here was wonderful, and if I had the choice to help hatch her or leave her again I would still help, as atleast she had a week of being a happy little chick. Well she would be a week old today. Really sorry to hear about yours ms steak, I had to give petal water off a teaspoon every half hour so I know how you feel with feeding one by a syringe, you get so attatched.x

I have been crying off and on all day. It is horrible. I think it has been made worse by us having to care for them so much more than usual. It could well be a good thing you have the others in to hatch. I hope it all goes well for you with them

So sorry guys I lost my 2 that couldn't internally pip was absolutely devastated spent hours watching them wetting their membranes for them to pass away. I'm giving it another go! Ms steak you are great with advice so please don't give up on it ! once again sorry for your loss, I had no idea you had lost two

Hi everyone, sorry not posted for ages. As you probably know after petal (my first chick who died at 1 week old) hatched I put some eggs in the incubator before she died. Anyway once she died I wished I hadn't as I was so upset! well how glad am I that I put them in now. I had the temperature right this time and 7 out of 11 hatched. I am so happy!!!!!!!!! 1 hadn't pipped but was tweeting like petal did after all the others had hatched so I made a little pip hole for her, then when I got up the next morning there she was, and now I can't even tell which chick she is I am so glad I had put the eggs in before petal died else I would of never hatched again. now I can't wait to set some more eggs off.
