My Exotic and Migratory Ducks [Destinduck] (Photos)

Lexi, Its really what YOU like and choose. They are all easy birds to keep outta those 3. I have all three. Cubans are a little rarer to find is all.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. haha. I like all the teal. Most are small and mellow. The manderins might fuss at em a little but they are fine together.

Yep. Same here. Aint seen a teal i didnt like. Color wise
Ring, green wing, chestnut breasted, cinnamon, baikal, falceated ( the biggest and honestly not a true teal) all those are very colorful.

Hottentot is the smallest. Theyll walk threw 2" chicken wire.
Marbled, grey, laysan ( endangered) , silver, puna, sharp wing, chilean, cape.... They are all kind of plain but i still love them.
Most do ok in community pens. Just stay away from large agressive species like shelducks.

No permits needed. Easy to keep. Do best in pairs but can be ran in trios or multiple in a colony. Do fine on just chicken layer pellets year round. Prefer a raised nest box with a 4 inch round hole opening. Any 20 % protien or better food for the chicks. First year layers.
