My experience with bumblefoot

I will check TSC for scalpels. They seem useful. I wonder if I can find tiny ones, or maybe little scooping ones? I need a razor sharp ice cream scooper basically.

I love your idea for tying the vetwrap. I will need to try that next time.
I will post pictures on Tuesday when I soak her foot again and try to scoop out more of the bumble!
Currently she is trying not to put weight on the foot. Poor thing.

This is after the soak I gave her this morning.

These are before soak:

Heres today's progress. Got most of it out with needle and tweezers! Yesterday I just soaked and changed the dressing with more neosporin.
Today we soaked and removed this! Along with a bunch of little chunks. That nodule on the top is where it was exposed and oxidizing on the surface of her foot.

She was shivering quite a bit afterwards. I returned her to the flock and she took a minute to adjust walking. But honestly (maybe it's just me, but...) it seems like she is running around now instead of just sulking and sitting around. I think she feels better already.

I'm going to give it a day to heal and then tomorrow I'm going to soak again and spray with this wound spray again.
