You know how big they are... look at my NN...

"Pearl" has the lightest coloring, which I personally like, but don't know if it's good for breeding. The other 4 are very similar... only difference is comb size. And hopefully SOMEDAY the hens will stop picking on their tails. I spray with Blue-Kote to discourage them, but it's not working...

Boy, that NN is huge, Tori! As for the BluKote, it isn't really an anti-pick, just an antibiotic/antiseptic. There is a product line called Rooster Booster that has what is supposed to be a good anti-pick. Dang women! I have one hen, Olivia, who plucks the roosters' saddle feathers. She's why Hawkeye just had fuzz there. Hawk's son, Dutch, pops her on the head sometimes when she wont leave him alone, LOL.

I do have some rooster booster somewhere... if it's not frozen.

I'll have to add that to the arsenal on the boys. Just when they start getting their feathers back, they turn to bloody stumps again.

I guess "Pearl" (or Pearlman, as I call him) is faster than the others, because he actually has a tail!

The NN ("Damit") is HUGE! I'm going to cross him with a splash silkie... just as an experiment.

Had another visit from a BYCer, AK_button_mama! Becca brought some quail down to me from the Anchorage area, out of the goodness of her heart.

We had a nice (although too short!) visit and lunch before she rounded up the troops and headed for home again. Thank you Becca!!!
