My fancy, home made incubator.

Okay I have my first nine dollars put aside toward one... hopefully a few more chickens sold will make that sum not so pathetic... chuckle. I'm putting it on paypal and ignoring it. Only way that will work.

Chris I want a pic of that stain mix on your cabinetry... sounds nice.

Bama as they are right know they will be 450.00. However I'm trying to incorporate a electric thermo that will bring it up more. I can always subtract things to save money like the switching plate. exchange for the dickey cord switch to turn it all on/off. that saves 25.00. I'm also thinking i will have to put plexiglass in place of the glass on the front door if I'll be shipping it.

And as for you walkswithdog, i will post a pic soon of the color for you. Thou is it's hard to see the color contrast with a picture. Basically when you mix your own color with golden oak the color is basically golden oak, however the grain of the wood will darken to the darkest color, due to that, darker stains are made to penetrate more than lighter stains . the cherry i use is to change the shade of the base color. When the stain is covered with the lacquer, it brings out the multi-colors. Really awesome.

That stain sounds like an awesome mix. Sometimes when I've stained my own - not sure I could just mix stain. I'd do a dark first, wipe it fast, then apply a lighter oak stain over, always wondered about a third color lol.

Guess I am just a tinkerer at heart.

Rescue pup ate the couch, I have to go out and get an upholstery needle and heavy cord to fix it and hide it before Laura sees it. OMG...

Teach me not to watch a PAIR of rescue pups while they were out... shhh don't tell Laura...

I thought i had more, but these two are all I have saved

This was my first coop, we came up with the chicken tractor configuration and built a little chicken duplex on top. The chickens love it.
