My Farm Life

Just waiting for the boys to start crowing!!! I have seen them dropping wings, picking up bits of food and trying to call to the girls, etc. I'm really excited to hear them start crowing.

Most of the chickens are molting, so they all look a bit rough.
Night has finished her molt and is sooo soft. I just like holding her.
Finally got the 4 faverolles girls named, Pearl (aka Squeaky), Hazel, Val, and Sunny.
Daisy is a tiny little thing. Will try and get some photos soon.
Down to only 5-10 eggs a day. :barnie
Daisy, Rosie, and all the other chicks just like to walk out of the electric fence and go explore. Its really annoying.
I will be going on a roadtrip across the US again (this time to California) so i wont be on that much. Should be leaving a week from today. 💚💚
Snow's foot looks tremendously better, hoping it will stay that way.
I will post pictures as soon as i can. The sun does not help with taking photos.

Griffin has crowed twice the past couple days. So excited.
We got a new chicken, named May. Friends found her on the side of their neighborhood road and what they think happened was that their neighbor had chickens and moved and left this one behind. I'm thinking shes an EE mix.

Went out Christmas shopping and came home to find that Blizzard was severely limping. He has a bit of blood on his neck feathers, his comb is covered in little scratches, and he has a limp. No idea what happened, he was perfectly fine this morning. I'm guessing he got in a fight with one of his brothers.
Daisy hasn't grown basically any in 2 months. I don't know what to do. And shes so cold. I picked her up half a hour ago and her legs started shaking and while I sat there she just shivered and cuddled with me. I kept talking to her and she tried to peck my teeth 😂
Anyways, I'm going to research about her and see if I can help her grow a bit. And figure out how to get her warmer at night. Maybe add some straw to where she sleeps (still in a green box with her other 'flockmates' since hatchlings)
Anyone have any ideas what to do?

Do you have pictures of Daisy? Any with her beside her flock mates so that we can see the difference?

Yeah, her growth is stunted. I dont know why.
We got them from Meyer Hatchery.
I'm just worried about her being too cold. She is extremely cold in the mornings and evenings when their is frost on the ground. I just want to maybe add some straw to where she sleeps, or somehow insulate somewhere for her to get warm since she is so tiny.

Have you felt any of the other chickens when it's that cold? To me, their feet are always cold.
Are your chickens not roosting?
