My favorite hen is sick Please help!*poo pic* (sorry)

I just can't help but think she's eggbound. The thing is, she's was molting, not everything has grown back in yet, so when she didn't lay, I wasn't concerned. If she has worms, would that keep her from pooing? She only does two or three times a day, which I know is not nearly enough.

Hi, I have been experiencing pretty much the same thing recently with one of my hens. I have been giving her moistened layers pellets (in a paste form), hard boiled egg, yogurt, I have wormed I have even been syringe feeding. I am really in a desperate situation now, but don't give up hope.

Has she become an internal layer maybe?

It is possible that they grow tumors and get internal blockages too which can prevent flow of the digestive tract.

You have my sympathies for sure! I am going through the same thing (almost) with my little Princess and wrote about it on the Green Poop thread. It's terrible to see them so sick and not be able to help them, isn't it? I pray Rosemary recovers!

Here's how she stands all day.I'm not sure if this is the "peguin" stance everyone talks about w/ eggbound chickens.
I put two drops of Wazine dewormer in her water, she's drinking it. She's pretty much stopped eating.

I know how it is to be so attached to something and feel so helpless. I am in the medical field, but know nothing about chickens. Can you place a gloved finger well lubricated into the vent to feel for an egg? I have no idea, this is just a guess?

I did try that a few days ago, but she freaked out so badly that I had to stop. Her vent looks normal. I may try again, because it looks like there is nothing else left to do. i gave her the wormer 6 hours ago, and only one poop that has some yellow and separate dark green blobs. I don't know how long it takes wormer to work.....does anybody know?
