Hey everyone! After a couple years of wanting chicks I finally got my very own! 3 of my chicks came from the Ameraucana Pullet bin at the feed store... after losing one these are the two I have left.. they do not look like Ameraucanas I've seen.. they both have little muffs (SO CUTE!) so my question is who are these little peepers. They're about 5 weeks in these photos- My research leads me to think the dark one is a roo.. what do you think? Thank you so much!!!

Cute Easter Eggers!

*Edited because I thought there were 3 different chicks...

The brown one has pullet coloring but has a suspiciously large comb. The white one you definitely have to wait a few more weeks.

Thank you all! I'm glad to know they're definite breed now! Only time will tell!

I have 6 EE's and they were called Americana's at the feed store. In reading all the blogs, you will not get Americana's from hatcheries or feed stores. Must go to breeder's. I have one that is looking like a rooster. All were suppose to be pullets. But I really like them. They are all so differently colored. Mine are 6 weeks old. Good luck with your's

Thanks! I figured they were not actually Ameracuanas which is fine with me as long as I get some pretty eggs, I just wanted to know just what they were!

Americauna or Easter Egger? I think I'm going to have to wait a while to see if its male or female...any thoughts
