I ordered a Bushmaster teardrop forward assist, and some cheap front sight posts. I'll replace the FSP later, with a Trijicon Tritium, but I want to get this gun ready to shoot.
Assembly complete! I still need to do a little painting (on the logo), but I finished the assembly several hours ago. It may get fired for the first time very soon.
After that, I put a CAA Stock Saddle on it (there's a pic on a previous page). The saddle is made to go over a skeleton stock on an M4, but I wrapped the buffer tube with nylon webbing and then zip-tied the saddle over it. I like the looks of it, and it'll give a more consistent cheek weld.
I just fired it for the first time, and it was great. The chickens had followed me into the driveway, but when I started shooting they decided to walk down to the other end of the house.
