My first attempt at chicken portraits- you know with the canvas & all

Here is Mojojojo. He's alot younger in this photo I need to get a more recent of him.

He's one of my favorites though, he THINKS he's the toughest and acts it until another rooster charges at him. He is too fleety on his feet to get caught though.

One time he was sick and my parents don't allow chickens in the house but it was REALLY cold so I hid him in a box of bedding under my bed and I thought I got away with it too! Until my mom came to wake me up in the morning and in mid-sentence "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOOOO!" as loud as he possibly could from under my bed. Of course it scared the jeeezers outta my mother!

about keeping them still, (I love the runaway blur btw) I wonder if a warm light, used on a day when there was a chill in the air would help keep them still. I never tried to keep a chicken from moving. . so I am thinking out loud here. but the light would server two purposes, add a little to the portrait, and if it worked, keep then still while they "light bathe"
