Yes, the waiting can drive you to near-insanity, huh? This little guy waited until Day 22. He pipped before bedtime, and in the morning when I checked on him, nothing had changed. But not two hours later, he was out completely! Fast little guy once he got going.

Today! I have 3 that came out in the early hours and 2 more on their way. The rest are keeping me in suspense!

WONDERFUL pictures. I missed getting photos of any of my three that hatched on my first try. The first time, we saw it but I was so amazed that we were getting to watch that I didn't think to get my camera. The second one happened while I was nursing the toddler, and I thought I had more time before it actually happened, so I missed it (I heard it, though, lol!). The third one I helped out of the shell (after more than 36 hours of a large, pipped hole in the wrong end, and no zip), and wish I'd gotten pictures of that process, but I was trying to do it as fast as possible to reduce drying.

Anyway, thank you for sharing yours. It is a miracle every single time. I cry when I watch birthing videos, and hatching is *almost* as miraculous to me. Every single time.

I've hatched once.The chicks were adorable.My parents won't let me do it again I've heard of eggs at Whole Foods hatching and we might go there today.
