Oh yeah I would be mad about that too. Do you know where they ordered from? I think there are only a couple of hatcheries that sell the real ones.

they said they were from a private breeder in the area. and they are a small one store company, they make organic feed. i would hope they are telling the truth. but some of their chicks were in BAD shape. including one that i got. the 5 chicks that i got there almost didn't make it.

i hope you love the orpingtons they are super good layers and they are so sweet i had a black orpington roo named obie and would sit on your lap they are known to be really good in the winter too good hardy breed if you decide to get more i suggest getting black orps or lavender

Maybe you should tell animal control that some of the chicks were in a bad way. If they get involved hopefully the chicks will get better care,or the shop will be closed down.
