My girls have had egg droop for a while and haven't layed a single egg yet. Thank you TSC for selling me defective mallards
. I have noticed duck poop in the nesting boxes though which I thought was weird since it was all in a big pile like they were sleeping there and I thought ducks most of the times had to be trained to use their nesting boxes. Anyway, congrats on your first duck egg
I wish mine would lay.

Her laying quack I think was more of a distressed sounding quack. Kind of when they get seperated from the rest of the flock they get a little paniced. I sleep with my window open so I can hear if anything is going on in the night. Not a peep! I was proud to see though that this egg had been laid in her nesting area.
