My first ducks and they are not what I was expecting, love them, but

I have Cayugas and the dark one looks like it might be a runner/Cayuga mix. Does it have any green tint to the feathers? They are beautiful. I've never see a runner/cayuga mix and I always wonder what it would look like if mine had ducklings

Would be excited if that's what you had. Enjoy them!!

The fawn and white runners look exactly like my two. And like everyone else said, they all look like runners and runner-mixes.

Runners don't fit the traditional duck image so it's understandable that they weren't what you were expecting! Before I became a duck-mom I had always loved mallards and pekins. I thought runners were goofy looking things and couldn't understand how any duck lover would want such a misfit mixed in and messing up their flock. Now, out of all the ducks I've had over the last couple of years, my runners are my favorites. They are more interactive and entertaining than any of the others, especially the female. I can't wait to get more!

No green tint, except on his head and tail, his head , I would say is green, then there is some blue and white at the tips of his feathers, I'm really enjoying them, they are so funny, just watching them explore, they were raised around goats and chickens, but my goats and chickens are afraid of them

and my guineas, the roo, he runs up on them, expecting them to run off I guess, they just stand there and stare at him. I got the ducks for my kids, my boys kept bugging and kept bugging, one wants them as pets and the other wanted duck eggs for breakfast. I think from what I have read, cause I had started out any duck will do,

Some deff. Runners. I agree with the Cambell. Ducks do well with Chickens.
Also..they do well on Layer feed, but ducks do better on duck feed. But dont fret over it. Just NO bread or certain seeds.
There are some great sites to google with Duck care information Here is a good one: http://poultryone.com/raisingducks.php
This
is one of the BEST sites out there for duck care!
