OK yeah so it’s possible, just not for those breeds. So I really don’t know what’s going on......probably just a bird trying to make a nest and one of your Pullets scared it awayOkay chickens can lay at four months, we all know that. The breeds listed in the first post cannot lay at six months and they are actually quite late layers.
Yes. Mostly brown layers start early. The breeds suspected of laying in the original post are later layers. Silkies start at around 7-9 months, normally later, and Blue/Green layers start at around 6 1/2 months at the earliest.ok well then maybe some breeds lay early some late lets agree on this then

It is VERY possible.Well maybe a local breed of bird layed in your nest box? I constantly have birds in my coop because of the food. its very possible a bird tried to build a nest in your coop, its just not possible for a pullet to lay a 4 months![]()
How many weeks do you think 4 months equals out to?I don’t know what to say. It is physically impossible for a chicken to lay an egg at four months. I mean maybe towards five months they might lay but 14 1/2 weeks is the absolute minimum age for the earliest laying breeds.
I know, but the breeds mentioned aren’t early layers. How many weeks do you think 4 months equals out to?
