I know that it is important to keep the incubator closed. But how do I know when to open it up and take them out? I know that they can go 72 hours without food and water. But this is my first time and I think the one that hatched last night is acting sluggish. Am I just overreacting? Thanks for any help.
Sluggish? As in, bumbling about in a circle then falling flat in its face and conking out?
As in, sleeping all the time and not doing much of anything?
Don't worry, THIS IS NORMAL!!! This is just what they're like for the first few days.
before you take any out make sure that you dont have any pipping. You could shrink wrap them if too much humidity escapes. They always act tired at least for the first few hours. Give them time they will be playing soccer in no time with the other eggs.
