My first egg!!!!

Ok so everyone here knows their stuff and I'm a complete over excited under experienced novice, but I only got my girls yesterday afternoon and they've obviously settled enough to lay! I have 4 dogs so it was always going to be a challenge to get them acclimatised, but I obviously did something right. Dogs are now seriously disinterested and couldn't care AT ALL! No idea how the smiley face got there

That is awesome, congrats! I would caution you not to be surprised if there is a pause before you get more eggs as this egg was actually "in production" when you got the birds (it takes *about* 24-26 hours stay to finish for an egg) and the stress of the relocation and acclimation can take a couple of days to cause production interruption
