my first egg!!!

Here is our first egg that I am pretty sure was laid by my barred rock opal!!! Is it possible that a seven year old chasing them around could have caused it to come a little early?

AWWWE that is a perfect egg, usually my first egg from any of my chickens are shaped very oddly, I've never seen a perfectly shaped egg for a first timer. That's great, good for you.... Not sure what you mean by a seven year old chasing her around to come out early? how old is your First timer hen??

I know i was expecting a weird egg too!
Opal is less than 5 months old so I wasn't expecting any eggs for awhile.
My 7 year old cousin was chasing her around and then all the sudden there was an egg so we were joking that she scared it out of her!
