Join the club! Im no genetics genius myself, far from it. Yes, if either of my Buff Orps are carrying a dominant white gene, that changes what you get, but I was told the chicks might actually be white. Since that isn't the case, I guess this will be a learning experience with genetics. My Ginger is a deep gold color and Sunny is more of a sunny yellow-gold, hence their names. Maybe that has a bit to do with the differences in the chicks.
