my first meaties raising experience-with pictures now 1st post:-)

ok 5 weeks and 2 days today and

ok let me just say I have not really had any complaints about the mess except they smell. After todays rainfall-OMG ew ew ew ew -I have a bail of hay Im laying down in the pen-I have 3-4 weeks to go and I can see Im going to go through alot of hay! ew ew ew mushy as heck in that pen 20 x 10-and wowser...again they look like brown terds out in the rain all day and did even bother to takecover provided-DH and I put 2 huge sheets of tin roofing over 8 feet of it to make more coverage to stay dry-thank goodness the weather is breaking tomorrow and should be 60-70'through the weekend-I hope it drys it up some....as they are sneezing too:-( 1-2 are gurgling like raspy chests

tomorrow their littel coop gets cleaned and sprayed down with oxine as all of them too!

There's no way its coryza... not sure what it is. Just hope they do ok...

the oxine is for everything depending on how you dilute it:) it saved my babcy call this week-hes back to normal and awesome! great for respsiratory issues!!! kills bacteria and viruses fast

The whole "whats causing it" thing is eating me alive though... its the medical practitioner in me...

Im sure... I just know from the scientific person in me I love seeing fast results from a product thats actually does what it says!
 
ahhh my first death! Dh called me at work to tell me he found a dead one in the coop:-( he left it in the burn pile

I told him he should have put it in a bad and in fridge drawer ( empty) so that I could process it and look at what might have happened-heart attack or what not-If I was home I would have done it right then and there-too late now-it wasnt even the one who had a bad leg:-( poor baby
 
oh bummer! losses are to be expected though. I'm guessing it had more to do with the breed and the weather than something comunicable. How do you use the oxine on them?
