I decided to take in my friend's ROO today. One of her hens went broody and she hatched him from a lone egg. He grew up being loved and doted on, but unfortunately ~ not by by other ROO. So he needed rehoming. It was a tough decision, (we were happy just keeping hens) But I thought since he was such a sweet guy we'd take him in. Here are some pics of him meeting the girls.
I call him Roopenn.
Apparently his paw is a Polish fellow, so looks like he might be getting a few feathers on his head. I think he's been picked on a bit.
My hens don't quite know what to think lol! But if he doesn't get on with them, I'm getting ten pullets shortly, and in a matter of months he'll have friends for sure.
Whaaaaaat is thaaaaaaat?
He's getting close errRRRRRR!
Oh my GAWWWWWWWD!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
