after a coon attack last year i hatched out what eggs i had.. they were hatched around christmas, 9 hens 5 roos.... well i gave 3 roos away and kept 2.... i've never had a mean roo before, UNTIL NOW... so giving him chance after chance to mellow out we finally decided something had to be done..... we even tried to rehome him, we let his new home know he was mean.... took him to his new home, and within 5 minutes it was realized this wasn't gonna work... they just happened to offer a be-heading and cleaning...... i couldn't refuse the free cleaning.... well the rooster and noodles were great..... the wife had a bit of trouble, said it was the thought..... she raised him.... but me n the kids had no trouble.... i'm thinkin i found a new destination for my extra roo's......

We had a mean rooster..once. he attacked everybody, even me,although I was wearing big black artic boots with fur around the top, granted, he went for the boots but caught the side of my knee, wow, packs a punch.he backed down after I said, what the he!!?
I knew we couldn't have that when grandkids visit, and he attacked hubby one more time when he had a big piece of firewood in his hand...sorry old roo, crockpot works good for the tough ones.
Now I am looking at 2 little hatchlings, that are both white, both twice as big as the others, and already looking a little beligerent, white roo lives on....

I work with a nasty polish roo .
Last week he pounded my knee and hit the bursa, it hurt for two days, this week I am going to insist he is locked up or supervised away from me while I am working.
I would enjoy eating him.
