We separated him for over a year. He is now 2+ years old. He will try to kill a hen still that either fights him or runs away from him. Luckily the three hens he was raised with and are the same age "accommodate" him and he acts like the perfect rooster with them. He is totally not aggressive with people. So things worked out with time as some here said it would. Thanks once again for the advice!
