My First Silkie (pics)

Well, after 2 years of trying to hatch shipped eggs, I finally have a Silkie!! It is 10 weeks old this weekend, and just adorable. At least I think it is. Everyone else at the house says it's the ugliest chicken they have ever seen. They have no sense of beauty.

See mine,these hatched yesterday and I have three more to go and 11 new ones out in the coop under broodies and 16 adults.Love them silkies.Also have orpingtons and two faverolles.Forgot to mention yours is beautiful

She went broody during an intense heatwave. Temps 100+. She wouldn't leave the box, and I'm thinking the heat was just too much for her. I am building a pen closer to the house and installing a ceiling fan for my next batch of Silkies.
