I'm worried sick!
My chicks have been successfully free ranging for a few weeks now and tonight I came home to 3 in the coop and 5 chicks missing!
I have been calling them and searching throughout their little hang outs but can't see or hear any sign of them.
Ive closed the other 3 in the coop encase a predator scared them and might return. But theres no feathers around that I could find in the dark.
Fingers crossed they come home in the morning. I'm extremely worried.

Woke up this morning. Still no sign of the missing 5 pullets. I have been calling them and looking throughout the yard. No sign. Im getting ready for work so my partner will have to look when he gets up.

My partner got up for work a little later in the day as he works afternoons and still no sign of our 5 pullets. I can't stop thinking about them.
I feel like a brokenhearted mother right now.

Just got home from work, 3 pullets in the coop but no sign of the 5 missing.
The longer they are gone. I think something has happened to them.

Still no sign of our pullets. My partner and I noticed today that our dogs toys have been going missing from the yard. I think our neighbors dog has been in our yard. We will have to look at fencing that side off fully.
Also, get a camera on our coop.

Down to 2 chickens now. Whatever took the first 5 has returned and claimed another.

Im not sure how to do that yet. I bought them as hens. So im still learning how to sex them myself. I had 8 chicks but 6 have gone missing so im at 2 now. The 1 I thought was a roo just by behavior unfortunately was one that had gone missing as she was the leader of the flock. How many do you have?
