ETA: The hatch rate for the ducks wasn't good at all, but it was a hale marry pass to begin with...

The babies are amazing! Hazel laid her 2nd egg!!!

I just went to get Hazels egg for the day and there wasn't 1. There was egg white at the entrance of the roost. No shell or yolk. Have they eaten it? It was so far away from the nesting box? Or is this something that can happen?

I was thinking of putting a golf ball in there but it was far from the nesting box so if they are eaten it wouldn't it be in the nesting box?
I read a golf ball will show them no reward from pecking at the eggs in the nest?

You sure it was egg white & not the poo (the white part)? Is it possible an egg broke in her?

It looked like egg whites but no yolk or shell. How would I tell if thats the case?

She has been going to the toilet without issues.
