Hey all! :frow So, I’m waiting impatiently for my eggs to go into lockdown next week, so I thought I’d share something about them and me
I have a serious addiction to farming in general and hatching especially. Other than the few years I lived in the city I’ve been farming my entire life.
I have two forced air hovabators with turners and one farm innovator still air I use for hatching. I think I need either a cabinet incubator or more hovabators, but I need to restrict the space I can use or I will become unstoppable :yesss::th
I have turkeys, chickens, and ducks. I tried out quail for the first time, but DH wasn’t a fan of them, so I’ll be rehoming them shortly.
And the eye-candy we’ve all been waiting for:

Other than the turkeys, I’m not 100% sure which ones will be keepers, so very few have names atm. DH named the turkeys, so, you don’t want to know what they are...well, the RPs are King and Queen b/c royalty, so maybe you can guess the other hen’s name based on that :lau

Things are going well with my little flocks so far this spring.
I’m working towards having a good variety of heritage birds. I’m getting there!
I rehomed the quail this week and picked up a few Appleyard ducklings. My hatching eggs of the same are due next week. :fl Seriously hoping that between the two batches I’ll have a nice, unrelated breeding group.

One of my mixed ducklings is surprisingly similar in looks! Love the Mohawk :love

Also picked up a few Speckled Sussex hens to start with. I have pullets ordered and eggs due this week!:celebrate
