My father took us out to lunch last weekend and all I could talk about were my chickens and keets. He thinks I'm nuts, especially since he knows I don't really like guniea fowl. They're ugly, noisy, and stupid, but, for all of their faults, they are still the best tick control around! Besides, they're just freakin' adorable as keets.
I don't think I am too addicted, though. I did resist paying $40 for a set of drawer knobs painted with rooster pictures and opted for the $10 brass-look set. I just couldn't see spending that much on an old dresser in the barn.
