My Friends In The Feed Barrel !

I opened a drawer in the RV the other day and accidentally grabbed a little black mouse. He was as freaked out as I was. We have them everywhere- but they don't bother me.
We've got birds everywhere too. As soon as one nest is emptied it's filled with eggs again. My DH hasn't been able to use his welding helmet in 3 years because of it.

I am just too soft-hearted to hurt them. Mine live under cinder blocks in the chicken coop, and I just leave them there. I figure I probably don't lose that much feed to them. They never get in the garbage can I keep the feed in. Seems they prefer to eat what is left on the ground overnight.

I completely agree with that. I use Victor snap traps with the metal tripper. (The ones with the scented plastic ones are useless. ) I glue sunflower seeds onto the tripper with white glue. Field or farm mice really love the seeds. They have to rattle the tripper in an attempt to get the seed and that makes the trap so much more efficient. You never end up catching a leg, its always the head with an instant kill. Oh did I mention that sunflower seeds are way more effective then peanut butter.
