Brazil and miss Lyd i reckon American moms goslings will grow much bigger what do you think by my looks they still look small haha
It´d probably be a good idea to clip a wing this first time. After that, they´ll probably be more settled. The young ones get very excited with the flapping! Most of mine when they´re flying know where the boundary is, but just now and then one hasn´t got it sorted, and overshoots. then I have to get them back in again! They don´t choose to, it just happens..well, maybe that's a plus, they at least don't hiss at himmaybe there is hope... Yep, turkeys are fine and Geese are keeping their distance from the Momma hens with baby's. other chickens scatter, they like to bully them but that's their own fault, even the rooster wont go after the geese but move out of there way... Pretty funny because out main Roo is a very very large Blue Orpington, he could if he wanted be boss of the whole flock but he gives way to those noisy honking creatures![]()

Ok, another question... Will they be able to fly?? Should we clip wings? Our neighbors wouldn't appreciate the geese in the gardens![]()
I´ve no idea. Mine grow fast, then hit 3 months and really slow right down. I´ve noticed they don´t mature until they´ve passed their second year, though.Brazil and miss Lyd i reckon American moms goslings will grow much bigger what do you think by my looks they still look small haha
Lovely pic. Which one of these is the greyer one? The one on the right?

Oh, I was looking at the shading of the down, as Embden goslings can often be sexed by the down colour, males being lighter, but if the greyer one is the one on the right of your grandson, then that just shows what serv said, that they´re all crosses most likely. No matter, they´re really gorgeous. Personally, I have a little doubt about one of the white ones, it just has a bit of a gander look to it to me. Let´s hope serv´s right on these ones.I believe it is the one on the right
Such a sweet pic. they sure do grow fast it's amazing actually.
