I'm so happy for you and your family! A friend's daughter spent a semester in Greece and made several visits to Turkey. She loved it there! Sure would be nice if you were able to visit while your hubby is stationed there. Congratulations on your great news!

Great news. San Antonio is a cool place, lots to do around there and not too far from the beach. We were at Padre Island for a few weeks this summer, loved it. River walk, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, LOTs of fun stuff.
 
Thanks you so much to everyone!!! Our whole family is just so happy!!! Yes, I would love it if we could manage a visit before he comes home. His father was stationed in Turkey twice when he was growing up (yeah, my hubby was an Air Force brat, too) and loved it. That is one place he has always wanted to go. As for San antonio, I have never even been there, but hubby was stationed there long ago before we met (or maybe just did manning assist there, can't remember) and he LOVED it. I also have a friend who lived close to there and she has been telling me constantly how wonderful it is, so we are very excited. I have been assured there is an abundance of small towns nearby where we can choose to live.

Wonderful. I have a friend who's lived in San Antonio for years and says it's a great place.

I can't imagine living apart for 3 years, I had to do that for one year when my husband got transferred and that was too long.
