My goose has never laid an egg.

Just wondering what the voice is like? is it high pitched and loud or low and quiet? high pitched -gander low- goose.

I just went online and listened to a bunch of goose and gander calls. I'd probably have to say Gansy is a bit on the lower-pitched side. I guess all all sings point in that direction.

Thanks again for everyone's input. I really appreciate it!

No eggs yet. They´re still investigating nest sites. some are still sorting out their pairs. Noisy down there! :)
First egg today. So, hopefully will start with goslings in about 6 weeks.

Ok, my goose Gansy definitely does this as well. Can you just confirm for me that only your goose does this and not the gander? I'm just curious.

With Gansy this stance is usually followed by sticking out of the tongue and very loud hissing.

Thank you so much for the pictures. It's very helpful. I think we've settled that he's a he. It's of no matter to us, we're very happy to have him and think he's pretty special.
Many Blessings,
