Doesn't matter that she's only seen one goose, she will know best how to treat a fungal infection *if* you need to.

It's starting to look that way. Call your vet and talk to her about how long you should give the Baytril.

I'd dif give probiotics anyway just because they help get the good bacteria back in the gut. Maybe kathy can tell ya if you should do it while treating with Baytril or wait till finished. I know when I have to take an antibiotic I eat yogurt right along with it to keep everything balanced.

Whenever I've used antibiotics that are not water dispersible, I make it a point to use Probios dispersible powder in drinkers to prevent digestive irritation. The reason I avoid other forms of probiotic bacteria such as yogurt, those contained in milk products, or vitamin supplements is because those minerals have adverse effects to absorption of fluoroquinolones like Baytril. Of course, it is always a good idea to supplement vitamin-electrolyte-probiotic in waterers after the last day of antibiotic therapy.
