My hatch cam is now live!

One chick has hatched, and a second is zipping. I expect it will hatch in the next 10 minutes or so.

great job I saw the 2nd one hatch...so cute...I'm definitely going to have try an hook up a web cam for my next hatch go round!! congrats!!

#3 is zipping along, I think it'll be out pretty quick too.

You guys, they weren't due until tomorrow night. I have no idea why they're hatching early. If anything I expected them late because they did most of their incubating in my basement, which is kind of cold.

I went to put the hatched chicks in the brooder and remove the eggshells so everyone would have a little more space and discovered a fourth chick had hatched when I wasn't paying attention. It was even an egg I hadn't noticed had pipped.

At this point, I have three more eggs in the incubator, and all three are pipped.

Nope, three more still to hatch. All three are pipped, but seem to be resting. I moved the camera to the incubator and am going to bed. I'll bet I miss at least two of them hatching while I sleep.

One of the ones left (in the middle) was in the fridge 8-10 days before I stuck it in the incubator. The one on the far right was set with some minor (unrepaired) cracking at the fat end, and pipped in kind of a weird spot. The third egg, on the far left, was set about 12 hours after everyone else.
